Why Far infrared is Better than Hot Rock Steam Sauna?
From a health point of view:
Far infrared saunas increase the body’s core temperature. This helps the body rid itself of harmful toxins through a deeper sweat. Conventional hot rock/steam heater saunas heat the air with steam, which can often be unbearably hot and you will only sweat on the surface. Steam also makes the air difficult to breath. A far infrared sauna uses dry far infrared heat that is well ventilated and extremely comfortable and relaxing.
From a cost saving point of view:
Far infrared saunas use about 70% less electricity than a traditional hot rock sauna. They also heat up a lot quicker which helps reduce annual running costs. Set-up is far easier and no electrician is required to connect the sauna. A standard plug point is all that is needed.
From a maintenance point of view:
Far infrared saunas are DRY saunas unlike traditional hot rock saunas that are damp and contain high amounts of humidity. Naturally a dry sauna is far easier to keep clean and free of mold and fungi.
